Alejandro Agag : « Monaco: The most traditionnal race in the history »

Invite in press-conference, the Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag took the opportunity to stress the importance of Monaco in the motorspor’s world.

« This is the most traditionnal race in the history, said the spanish. The first Grand Prix back to 14 April 1929. This remains a very important date. And this Saturday will also register as another historic moment for the Formula E and for Monaco as well. Tomorrow will be a special day for the whole motorsport. » Delighted to turn up in Europe, the former team principal of Addax team in GP2 has not forgotten the emotion generated by a success at Monaco.

« It is fantastic to win at Monaco, said the promoter of the electric championship. I have won in GP2 with five different drivers : Romain Grosjean, Sergio Perez, Johnny Cecotto and Charles Pic. Triumph in Monaco is stronger than anything. There are many great races in motorsport, but winning Monaco is a very special feeling. »

Impatient to see the start of this round, Alejandro Agag says feeling a dash of emotion crossing the pit-lane for the first time.

« We walked into the pit-lane today and seeing those electrics cars instead of Formula 1 was a very emotional moment for me, he said. Even GP2 cannot usually get in this pit. I did not cry, but it was a very beautiful feeling. »
