The 2026 Monaco E-Prix concluded this weekend with victories for Nyck de Vries (Mahindra Racing) and Oliver Rowland (Nissan Formula E Team). These two exciting races brought another significant chapter in the history of electric racing in Monaco to a close.
With thrilling action on the track with 382 overtakes across two races, packed grandstands, numerous VIPs and a number of talks and activities during Monaco E-Prix week once again transformed the Principality into a mecca for electric motorsport.
As ever, the Monaco Circuit attracted a host of VIPs. TT.SS.HH. Prince Albert II and Princesse Charlène were present on Sunday on the grid and on the podium at the 11th Monaco E-Prix.
Many sports stars were also in attendance at this electrifying weekend. First and foremost were figures from the Formula 1 paddock: reigning world champion Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz, Nico Hülkenberg, Gabriel Bortoleto, Oliver Bearman, Christian Horner and Flavio Briatore. Valentin Vacherot, currently ranked 18th in the world in tennis, and Alpha Diallo, a basketball player for AS Monaco, were among those who came to watch the event.

An intense weekend
As well as the stars, the 40 000 spectators who packed the grandstands over the two days were treated to some thrilling races. The first was won, following a tactical battle, by Nyck de Vries (Mahindra Racing), ahead of Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing) and Josep Maria Martí (Cupra Kiro). And the second, dominated by reigning world champion Oliver Rowland (Nissan Formula E Team), ahead of Felipe Drugovich (Andretti Formula E) and António Félix da Costa (Jaguar TCS Racing).
Six different drivers from five teams on the two podiums: the 10th and 11th editions proved once again that Formula E remains stunning and unpredictable right up to the very end. A motorsport weekend just the way we like it: excitement, tension, spectacle, pushing the limits… The Monaco E-Prix always inspires passion, and the public turned out in force throughout the two days of competition.
A major debut for the GEN4
One of the highlights of the weekend was the first public appearance of the GEN4, the single-seater set to make its Formula E debut next season. Driven around the Monaco Circuit by David Coulthard, the former F1 driver was thoroughly impressed by the experience.
“I’m speechless! What a machine!” said the two-time winner of the Monaco Grand Prix in Formula 1 after his first few laps. “The drivers are going to experience something that no one has ever experienced in motorsport before. It redefines what a racing car can be.”
The season continues
Thank you to the teams involved and the 570 marshals who worked on this 2026 Monaco E-Prix and who, once again, demonstrated great professionalism.
The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship continues with seven rounds remaining in the 2025/2026 season. Next up: the Sanya E-Prix in China on 19 and 20 June.
