26th<\/sup> Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique (January 31 \u2013 February 7, 2024)<\/h2>\n

Tradition respected…<\/h3>\n

The 26th<\/sup> Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique promises, one more time, to be a remarkable event, thanks to the diversity and authenticity of its route, starting with the comebacks of Glasgow and Milano as starting cities. This 2024 edition will be as seductive as it was wished by the Organizing Committee at Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM), with several Regularity Stages (SR) on the menu where legendary pages of the event were written! Crews will again be fighting for one of the ultimate wins in historic motor racing, trying to replicate the success of <\/strong>Claudio Enz and Cristina Seeberger, the winners in 2023 in a 1970 Lancia Fulvia 1.3 S.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Three days only after the finish of the 92th<\/sup> Monte-Carlo Rally, the crews allowed to take part in the 26th<\/sup> Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique will have to face a very selective route as well. As always, the Historic version of the prestigious WRC event will be reserved to older cars having participated in previous editions of the Monte Carlo Rally, from 1911 to 1983<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The start of this 2024 edition will be given on Wednesday January 31<\/strong>, for the Concentration Route initiating in Glasgow. <\/strong>Then, on Thursday February 1, Bad Homburg<\/strong>, Reims and Milano <\/strong>will follow suit, with a common objective: the Principality of Monaco<\/strong>. A rallying point where the first crews are expected on Friday February 2 <\/strong>in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

The first timed portions are scheduled as soon as Saturday February 3,<\/strong> for the Classification Leg <\/strong>between Monaco<\/strong> (first crew starting at 7 am<\/strong>) and Valence, the Dr\u00f4me pr\u00e9fecture<\/strong> and once more a Host-City.<\/strong> With four Regularity Stages to take on, this first race day will not be a stroll in the park, starting with a magnificent stage: \u00ab Soleilhas <\/strong>\u2013<\/strong> Castellane \/<\/strong> SR1 \/\u00a09:55 am \/ 16.087 km \u00bb, <\/strong>where the final portion looks down on Lac de Chaudanne, followed by \u00ab Chaudon-Norante <\/strong>\u2013<\/strong> Digne-les-Bains \/ SR2 \/\u00a011:15 am \/ 16.085 km \u00bb <\/strong>via the renowned Col de Corobin (1211m). Then the midday checkpoint will also be set up in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence prefecture, on Tampinet Square, from 12:10 pm<\/strong>. Driving back to the Dr\u00f4me will be the afternoon topic, starting with \u00ab Ventavon <\/strong>\u2013<\/strong> Chabestan \/ SR3 \/ 1:35 pm\u00a0\/ 20.292 km \u00bb <\/strong>through Col de Faye (922m), followed by the Vercors massif and \u00ab La C\u00eeme du Mas <\/strong>\u2013<\/strong> Col Gaudissart \/ SR4 \/ 17km \/ 4:20 pm \/ 17.535 km \u00bb, <\/strong>including the tricky Col de l\u2019\u00c9charasson (1146m). One last checkpoint is planned at Saint-Jean-en-Royans<\/strong> from 5:15 pm,<\/strong> in order to regulate the crews expected at Champ de Mars<\/strong> in Valence <\/strong>from 6:30 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ard\u00e8che will be on the cards for Sunday February 4, <\/strong>starting at 8 am <\/strong>for Part 1 <\/strong>of the Common Leg. <\/strong>Crews will have to check in Privas<\/strong> at 9:15 am, <\/strong>before heading for \u00ab\u00a0Lyas – Pourch\u00e8res\u00a0\/ SR5 \/\u00a09:25 am\u00a0\/ 20.398 km \u00bb, <\/strong>a stage which has not been used since the 90s. Then, on the road section, a traditional pause will take place in front of La Remise from 10:50 am<\/strong>, where the Jouanny Family will celebrate its 60 years in style, with a brand new red and white patch of asphalt in front of the legendary restaurant to welcome the competitors. A good way to prepare for a rare version of Burzet, \u00ab Freyssenet \u2013 Saint-Martial \/ SR6 \/\u00a011:30 am\u00a0\/ 28.245 km \u00bb<\/strong>. The midday pause will happen from 1:10 pm <\/strong>on Place du March\u00e9 in Saint-Agr\u00e8ve<\/strong>, where all crews and staff will spend a pleasant time tasting local produce, before taking on \u00ab\u00a0Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid \/ SR7 \/\u00a01:45 pm \/ 27.193 km \u00bb <\/strong>followed by \u00ab\u00a0Lalouvesc \u2013 Labatie-d\u2019Andaure \/ SR8 \/\u00a02:55 pm \/ 24.025 km \u00bb<\/strong>. On the way to Valence (5:35 pm)<\/strong>, another tradition will be respected with a popular and festive stop on Quai Farconnet<\/strong> in Tournon-sur-Rh\u00f4ne<\/strong> from 4:50 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Two other massifs, Diois and Baronnies, will host Part 2<\/strong> of the Common Leg<\/strong>, on Monday February 5, <\/strong>starting at 8 am<\/strong>. On the menu, the first course will be \u00ab\u00a0Valdr\u00f4me \u2013 La Piarre \/ SR9 \/\u00a010:10 am\u00a0\/ 13.930 km \u00bb<\/strong> via Col de Carabes (1261m), the natural border between the Dr\u00f4me and Hautes-Alpes departments, followed by \u00ab\u00a0Laborel \u2013 Montauban-sur-l\u2019Ouv\u00e8ze \/ SR10 \/\u00a011:40 am\u00a0\/ 20.865 km \u00bb <\/strong>with Col de Perty (1302m) on the way. The midday pause is scheduled in Buis les Baronnies<\/strong> from 12:55 pm. <\/strong>All remaining crews will then take on \u00ab\u00a0Sainte-Jalle \u2013 R\u00e9muzat \/ SR11 \/\u00a01:30 pm \/ 16.673 km \u00bb<\/strong>, via Col de Soubeyrand (987m) and, last but not least, \u00ab\u00a0Recoubeau-Jansac \u2013 Pennes-le-Sec \/ SR12 \/\u00a03:05 pm \/ 16.282 km \u00bb <\/strong>through the well-known Col de Pennes (1040m). The last pause of the day, before heading back to Valence (5:20 pm)<\/strong> will happen on Place du Champ de Mars in Crest <\/strong>with a checkpoint from 4:25 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday February 6, <\/strong>the start from Valence<\/strong> is scheduled for 7 am<\/strong>. The first stage of Part 3<\/strong> of the Common Leg <\/strong>will be the famous \u00ab\u00a0Saint-Nazaire-le-D\u00e9sert\u00a0\u2013 La-Motte-Chalancon \/ SR13 \/\u00a08:45 am\u00a0\/ 19.987 km <\/strong>\u00bb, soon followed by \u00ab\u00a0Roussieux \u2013 Laborel\u00a0\/ SR 14 \/\u00a010:00\u00a0am \/ 19.932 km \u00bb <\/strong>where all crews will have to pass Col de Reychasset (1052m) and Col de Pierre-Vesce (1013m) successively. Then, heading for the Principality of Monaco<\/strong>, the last stage of the day will be \u00ab Collongues \u2013 Col de Saint-Rapha\u00ebl\u00a0\/ SR15\/ 1:55 pm \/ 19.738 km \u00bb<\/strong>. And the entering Parc Ferm\u00e9 in Monaco <\/strong>is scheduled from 4:35 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Final Leg, <\/strong>during the night of Tuesday February 6 <\/strong>to Wednesday 7<\/strong>, will start at 9 pm<\/strong> in Monaco<\/strong>. And two monuments of Monte-Carlo Rally<\/strong> will be on the cards: \u00ab\u00a0Sospel \u2013 Col de Turini \/ SR 16 \/ 10:15 pm\u00a0\/ 19.774 km \u00bb, <\/strong>with a finish line at the top, as in most recent WRC versions, and \u00ab\u00a0La Cabanette \u2013 Col de Braus \/ SR17 \/ 11:15 pm \/ 13.811 km\u00a0\u00bb <\/strong>passing through Col de L\u2019Orme (1000m) and Col de l\u2019Abl\u00e9 (1149m). The first crews will be expected on Port Herculis <\/strong>in Monaco<\/strong> around 00:55 am<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Finally, in keeping with tradition, the Gala Night and Prize Ceremony<\/strong> will happen on the evening of Wednesday February 7<\/strong> in the prestigious Salle des Etoiles <\/strong>at Monte-Carlo Sporting Club<\/strong> (dark suit).<\/p>\n
