The 28th<\/sup> edition of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique marks a major turning point in the history of the Monegasque event. Far more than a simple regularity competition, this new edition introduces long-awaited changes requested by participants and approved by the Automobile Club of Monaco\u2019s Organizing Committee – without compromising the authentic, popular spirit that built its reputation. With revised dates, a broader vehicle selection (models raced between 1911 and 1986), six starting cities, and – most notably – regularity stages run on closed roads, the 2025 route showcases a bold \u201cnew-look\u201d as the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique enters in a fully new era!<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the handful of die-hard participants who chose John O\u2019Groats<\/strong> – a village in northern Scotland\u2019s Highlands and the northernmost concentration point – kickoff is scheduled for Thursday, January 29<\/strong>. Other departures are spread across Bad Homburg, Barcelona, Monte-Carlo, Reims, and Turin<\/strong> on Sunday, February 1<\/strong>, with all routes converging toward Valence<\/strong>, capital of Dr\u00f4me department and a traditional host city, where the first cars are expected on Monday, February 2<\/strong> in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

The first special stages are scheduled the next day, Tuesday, February 3<\/strong>, with a hefty first part of the Classification Leg<\/strong>, consisting of three looped specials run twice. They include: \u201cCol Gaudissart – Bouvante \/ SR 1-4 \/ 7,513 km \/ 08:33 – 14:43\u201d<\/strong> with Col de l\u2019\u00c9charasson (1146 m) as the decider, \u201cL\u00e9oncel – Oriol-en-Royans \/ SR 2-5 \/ 11,255 km \/ 09:41 – 15:51\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cCol de Tourniol – Barbi\u00e8res \/ SR 3-6 \/ 10,403 km \/ 10:20 – 16:30\u201d<\/strong>. First finishers return to Valence\u2019s Champ de Mars<\/strong> at 11:25<\/strong> and again in the late afternoon at 17:35<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, February 4<\/strong> at 08:00<\/strong>, the rally heads into Ard\u00e8che for the second part of the Classification Leg<\/strong>. The route features the unpublished stages \u201cSaint-Pierreville – Issamoulenc \/ SR 7 \/ 10,795 km \/ 09:28\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cLachamp-Rapha\u00ebl – Burzet \/ SR 8 \/ 15,424 km \/ 11:01\u201d<\/strong>. A regroup takes place in Vals-les-Bains (12:05)<\/strong>, followed by a passage control at La Remise (13:45)<\/strong>, the iconic caf\u00e9-restaurant run by the Jouanny\u2019s family in Antraigues-sur-Volane<\/strong>. Next: \u201cSaint-And\u00e9ol-de-Vals – Gourdon \/ SR 9 \/ 11,632 km \/ 14:23\u201d<\/strong> and a second run of \u201cSaint-Pierreville – Issamoulenc \/ SR 10 \/ 10,795 km \/ 15:18\u201d<\/strong>. Privas<\/strong> welcomes competitors for a time control at 16:25<\/strong>, with a return to Valence<\/strong> set for 17:30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thursday, February 5<\/strong> marks the first part of the Common Leg<\/strong>, heading to the Vercors and Diois mountains. Three stages include \u201cLes Nonni\u00e8res – Chichilianne \/ SR 11 \/ 14,413 km \/ 09:53\u201d<\/strong>, featuring Col de Men\u00e9e (1457 m), \u201cLe Ch\u00e2teau – La B\u00e2tie-des-Fonts \/ SR 12 \/ 9,854 km \/ 11:35\u201d<\/strong>, crossing Col de Carab\u00e8s (1261 m) and \u201cCol de Chamauche – Saint-Nazaire-le-D\u00e9sert \/ SR 13 \/ 11,339 km \/ 12:53\u201d<\/strong>. Before returning to Valence (15:10)<\/strong>, a time control will be held at Crest<\/strong>‘s Champ de Mars from 14:10<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On Friday, February 6<\/strong>, the second part of the Common Leg<\/strong> begins at 07:00<\/strong>. Three special stages are scheduled with \u201cAucelon – Barnave \/ SR 14 \/ 13,720 km \/ 08:31\u201d<\/strong>, over Col de Pennes (1040 m), then \u201cBr\u00e9ziers – Selonnet \/ SR 15 \/ 13,408 km \/ 11:09\u201d<\/strong>, with the feared Col des Garcinets (1185 m) and by the end \u201cAuzet – Esclangon \/ SR 16 \/ 14,430 km \/ 12:06\u201d<\/strong>. Arrival at the Parc Ferm\u00e9 in Monaco<\/strong> expected at 16:30<\/strong>, after checks in Saint-Andr\u00e9-les-Alpes (13:45)<\/strong> and La Turbie (16:00)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Final Leg, held overnight from Friday 6<\/strong> to Saturday 7 February<\/strong>, starts at 21:00<\/strong> in Monaco<\/strong>. Two legendary Monte-Carlo stages wrap up the rally: \u201cLa Boll\u00e8ne-V\u00e9subie – Col de Turini \/ SR 17 \/ 15,005 km \/ 22:28\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cLa Cabanette – Col de Braus \/ SR 18 \/ 13,680 km \/ 23:06\u201d<\/strong>. Finish line is at Port Hercule<\/strong> in Monaco<\/strong> from 00:25.<\/strong><\/p>\n
