However, the itinerary that was drawn up for the actual race will be as diverse and difficult as ever, following the recommendations of the Organizing Committee at Automobile Club de Monaco. A whole pack of Regularity Stages is on the menu, as always, since they have remained the main features of this special rally and they help to figure out easily which crew really deserves to win<\/strong><strong>. <\/strong><strong>The succession of Henrik BJERREGAARD and Jaromir SVEC, the winners in 2020 aboard a Ford Escort RS2000 MkII, is open&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Historic version of the world\u2019s most ancient road rally is reserved to cars that have entered at least one Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo between 1911, the year when it was created, and 1983, so that a greater number of models are allowed to enter the 2021 edition. And also in order to please numerous car collectors who asked for this evolution.<\/p>\n<p>After one and a half day devoted to administrative and technical checks, on <strong>Thursday January 28 (3pm-6pm)<\/strong> and <strong>Friday January 29 (7am-7pm)<\/strong>, the official start of this 24<sup>th<\/sup> edition will be given as early as <strong>6am <\/strong>on <strong>Saturday January 30<\/strong>, for the Concentration Leg: <strong>273,6km<\/strong> between <strong>Monte-Carlo <\/strong>and <strong>Buis-les-Baronnies<\/strong>, a former property of Monaco Princes, right in the middle of Dr\u00f4me proven\u00e7ale, where the first crews will be expected at <strong>11:30am<\/strong>, just in time to take part in the first two Regularity Stages, well known by the specialists: <strong>\u00abMontauban-sur-l&#8217;Ouv\u00e8ze \u2013 Saint-Andr\u00e9-de-Rosans \/ SR1 \/\u00a0 12am \/49km\u00bb<\/strong> and <strong>\u00abLa Motte-Chalan\u00e7on \u2013 Saint-Nazaire-le-D\u00e9sert \/ SR2 \/ 2pm \/ 22km\u00bb<\/strong>. In order to close the Concentration chapter in style, a checkpoint is scheduled in <strong>Crest, <\/strong>another historic site of Monaco\u2019s Grimaldi family, at <strong>3:20 pm,<\/strong> to make sure that the first crews will reach <strong>Champ de Mars<\/strong> in <strong>Valence (Host City &amp; Dr\u00f4me\u2019s prefecture)<\/strong> at <strong>4:10pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Heading for Ard\u00e8che on the morning of <strong>Sunday January 31<\/strong> the <strong>Classification Leg<\/strong> will start at <strong>7am. <\/strong>The first stage on that day will be the much appreciated <strong>\u00abLa Croze &#8211; Antraigues-sur-Volane \/ SR3 \/ 8:09am \/ 57km\u00bb<\/strong> complete with a traditional pause in front of the the famous \u00ab\u00a0Remise\u00a0\u00bb, the mythical Jouanny family restaurant. Then it will be time for another legendary stage, <strong>\u00abBurzet \u2013 Lachamp-Rapha\u00ebl \/ SR4 \/ 10:05am \/ 49 km\u00bb<\/strong>, in the Saint-Martial version. The mid-day pause is scheduled from <strong>12:50pm<\/strong> on Place du March\u00e9 in <strong>Saint-Agr\u00e8ve<\/strong>, where tasting of local products is always part of the program, and a good way for all rally participants and followers to enjoy the moment before heading for a very demanding loop: <strong>\u00abSaint-Bonnet-le-Froid \/ SR5 \/ 1:20pm \/ 25km\u00bb <\/strong>\u00a0then <strong>\u00abSaint-Pierre-sur-Doux \u2013 Col du Buisson \/ SR6 \/ 2:05pm \/ 23km\u00bb<\/strong>. On the way back to <strong>Valence (4:55pm),<\/strong> there will again be a checkpoint in <strong>Plats (3:10pm)<\/strong> and yet another popular and friendly stop on <strong>Quai Farconnet<\/strong> in <strong>Tournon-sur-Rh\u00f4ne, <\/strong>from <strong>4:05pm onwards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Vercors and Diois mountains will be on the menu for <strong>Monday February 1 <\/strong>at<strong> 7am<\/strong>, when <strong>Part 1 of the Common Leg <\/strong>will start with <strong>\u00abCol Gaudissart \u2013 La Cime du Mas \/ SR7 \/ 8:25am \/ 18km\u00bb<\/strong> including Col de L\u2019Echarasson (1146m), then <strong>\u00abCol de l\u2019Arzelier \u2013 Saint-Michel-les-Portes \/ SR8 \/ 10:50am \/ 29km\u00bb<\/strong> including Gresse-en-Vercors. The mid-day pause is scheduled at <strong>Clelles Station<\/strong>, a stronghold of motor racing in Dauphin\u00e9 (Is\u00e8re) from <strong>11:40 am<\/strong>, before heading for \u00a0<strong>\u00abChichilianne \u2013 Les Noni\u00e8res\u00a0\/ SR9 \/ 11:42am \/ 21km\u00bb<\/strong> through Col de Men\u00e9e (1457m) and eventually, to close the day, the stage of <strong>\u00abM\u00e9morial de Vassieux-en-Vercors \u2013 Bouvante-le-Bas \/ SR10 \/ 1:55pm \/ 24km\u00bb <\/strong>where endurance will be the key! The last pause of the day, before heading back to <strong>Valence (4:15pm)<\/strong>, will take place on Place du Champ de Mars in <strong>Saint-Jean-en-Royans <\/strong>with a checkpoint at <strong>2:55pm <\/strong>for the first crew.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Tuesday February 2, <\/strong>the first start in <strong>Valence<\/strong> will be given at <strong>6am <\/strong>for <strong>Part 2 of the Common Leg. <\/strong>\u00a0The first stage of the day will be <strong>\u00abSaint-Nazaire-le-D\u00e9sert\u00a0\u2013 Gumiane \/ SR11 \/ 7:30am \/ 29km\u00bb<\/strong>, with seven passes on the way. The remaining crews will then head for <strong>\u00abVerclause \u2013 Laborel \/ SR12 \/ 8:55am \/ 27km\u00bb <\/strong>to be followed by an exciting loop: <strong>\u00abEntrevaux \u2013 Entrevaux \/ SR13 \/ 12:35pm \/ 15 km\u00bb <\/strong>including Col de F\u00e9lines. The last checkpoint before entering parc ferm\u00e9 in <strong>Monaco (3:10pm)<\/strong> will take place on Place Neuve in <strong>La Turbie,<\/strong> from <strong>2:35pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Final Leg<\/strong>, scheduled for the night of <strong>Tuesday February 2<\/strong> to <strong>Wednesday February 3<\/strong>, will start in <strong>Monaco<\/strong> at <strong>8:45pm<\/strong>and crews will be able to enjoy, in succession, <strong>\u00abCol de Braus \u2013 La-Boll\u00e8ne-V\u00e9subie \/ SR14 \/ 9:50pm \/ 35km\u00bb<\/strong> and <strong>\u00abLantosque \u2013 Luc\u00e9ram \/ SR15 \/ 11:05pm \/ 20km\u00bb<\/strong>.
