He is more confident than ever about this 78th edition because he knows the track by heart and because his Ferrari, this year, is much better than the one he drove last year. So who knows what can happen this weekend in the streets of the Principality\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-Corps\"><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">You have never completed a Monaco Grand Prix since the start of your single-seater career. Do you feel like you are cursed here?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">No, I don&#8217;t believe in curses (<\/span>he <span lang=\"EN-US\">laughs). These are things that happen, it<\/span><span dir=\"RTL\" lang=\"AR-SA\">\u2019<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">s bad luck and unfortunately it happened to me the last few times. However, before single-seaters, I won here in <\/span>go-karts (he <span lang=\"DA\">smile<\/span>s<span lang=\"EN-US\">). I will do everything to get the best possible result this year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-Corps\"><strong>W<span lang=\"EN-US\">hat is your <\/span>favourite turn on the track<span lang=\"ZH-TW\">?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">The S <\/span>at the swimming-pool<span lang=\"EN-US\"> because we go through <\/span>that portion <span lang=\"EN-US\">at incredible speeds being very close to the <\/span>barriers;<span lang=\"EN-US\"> we have no room for mistakes. That&#8217;s what I like<\/span> the most<span lang=\"EN-US\">. I also have fond memories at the pool with friends when we were younger.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acm.mc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/WRI2_00005327-078.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9864391\" src=\"https:\/\/acm.mc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/WRI2_00005327-078.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"718\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-Corps\"><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">What is the main improvement of the SF21 <\/span>compared to<span lang=\"EN-US\"> the SF1000?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">It&#8217;s hard to say, it&#8217;s a new car so there are lots of differences<\/span>\u2026 <span lang=\"EN-US\">The car&#8217;s balance has been improved, <\/span>so it is easier to drive. T<span lang=\"EN-US\">here was no revolution <\/span>on<span lang=\"EN-US\"> the <\/span>car b<span lang=\"EN-US\">etween 2020 and 2021, it is more of an evolution. 2020 has been a really tough year, although I&#8217;ve learned a lot, especially from my mistakes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-Corps\"><strong><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">Carlos Sainz Jr. <\/span>r<span lang=\"EN-US\">eplace<\/span>d Sebastian Vettel as your teammate. How would you describe your relationship with him<span lang=\"ZH-TW\">?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Everything is going well between us. I have never spent as much time with a teammate as I have with Carlos before. We get along well because we are almost the same age, we are at the same <\/span>point<span lang=\"EN-US\"> in our career and we also have a lot of common interests such as padel tennis, golf or chess&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-Corps\"><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">And at work?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">We work well together and expect the same from the car, which is very important. We have the same desire to bring Ferrari back to winning ways. There is a lot of motivation and I&#8217;m sure we will push each other on the track for better results.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-Corps\"><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Do you feel like you&#8217;ve changed status within the team?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Not really. Even though I&#8217;ve turned from being the least experienced driver in the team to the one who knows the <\/span>Scuderia<span lang=\"EN-US\"> best, Carlos <\/span>has been in F1 for<span lang=\"EN-US\"> more years than me. The Monaco Grand Prix is <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">necessarily very special<\/span> to me, it was always a dream to take part in this race<span lang=\"EN-US\">. The cancellation was hard to <\/span>accept last year, but f<span lang=\"EN-US\">ortunately the ACM was able to find solutions for this year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-Corps\"><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">As a Monegasque, you are in great demand here. Is it a more tiring weekend than the others?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Yes, in Monaco and Italy, it&#8217;s always very <\/span>demanding<span lang=\"EN-US\"> and it&#8217;s not easy to manage. But I&#8217;m not complaining, it&#8217;s better that way than the other. It&#8217;s always very special to be in Monaco and I feel it every time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-Corps\"><strong>What\u2019s your opinion on <span lang=\"EN-US\">Monaco marshals ?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">They do an exceptional job and without them the Grand Prix could not take place. Coming to F1, I <\/span>found out about them <span lang=\"EN-US\">and reali<\/span>s<span lang=\"EN-US\">ed how well prepared they are here. Even if throughout the season marshals on other circuits are well-trained, Monaco marshals are still a <\/span>step<span lang=\"EN-US\"> above.
