{"id":10597847,"date":"2024-02-06T15:02:53","date_gmt":"2024-02-06T14:02:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/acm.mc\/?p=10597847"},"modified":"2024-02-06T15:02:53","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T14:02:53","slug":"rs13-vw-and-bmw-ahead-of-lancia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acm.mc\/en\/rs13-vw-and-bmw-ahead-of-lancia\/","title":{"rendered":"RS13: VW and BMW ahead of Lancia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The German brands continued their raid on this 26<sup>th<\/sup> edition of Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique, by winning RS13 which opened the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> and final part of the Common Leg on Tuesday morning: a 1981 BMW 323i driven by a Spanish crew, Luis Climent Asensio and Victor Buades (#146), took the laurels between Saint-Nazaire-le-D\u00e9sert and La Motte Chalan\u00e7on (18.2 km), another mythical stage of the WRC version, tied with a 1982 VW Scirocco, driven by Ilya Kashin and navigated by Boris Kostyrko (#43).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This was the first regularity stage of the final day and, as is often the case since Monday, the Lancia of the Swiss title holders was back at the front: Claudio Enz and Cristina Seeberger, in their Fulvia 1.3S Coup\u00e9, took 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place, ahead of the other Lancia Fulvia of a Danish crew, Simonsen-Kristensen (#30), and another BMW, the 2002 Ti of Laurent Combier and Etienne Berthoin.<\/p>\n<p>This good result enabled the crew in the VW Scirocco to move up one place in the overall standings, from 5<sup>th<\/sup> to 4<sup>th<\/sup>, behind an unchanged leading trio: Opel, ahead of Mini and Alfa.
