The Grand Start of the 2025 E-Rallye Monte-Carlo took place this Wednesday evening on the iconic Place du Casino. All 62 crews set off, heading toward the first two Regularity Stages.<\/b><\/p>\n
To mark the 30th anniversary of the event, the stunning Place du Casino provided the backdrop for the start of the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo. Adding even more prestige to the occasion, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco honored us with his presence.<\/p>\n

Lined up along the Place du Casino, 12 standout vehicles from this 2025 edition were put in the spotlight to attract spectators. Among them, the Hyundai Kona no. 1, driven by Michal Zdarsky and Jakub Nabelek, contenders for the Bridgestone FIA ecoRally Cup title, was the first car to leave the podium, waved off by His Serene Highness with the Mon\u00e9gasque flag.<\/p>\n
Also taking part was Monegasque Camille Gottlieb, supported by her uncle, Prince Albert II, and ready to resume her role as co-driver for this 2025 edition, following her first experience last year. Alongside her teammate, Margaux Grundstein, they are representing the Be Safe association. \u00ab\u00a0For us, this is a chance to raise awareness about our association, especially internationally. At the E-Rallye, you see teams from all over the world, so we\u2019re proud to represent Be Safe.\u00a0<\/i>\u00bb<\/p>\n
With one minute between each start, the 62 cars departed toward the first Regularity Stage. Starting in 38th position, Bruno Saby started the rally at the wheel of a Lancia Ypsilon, a brand the 1988 Rallye Monte-Carlo winner knows well. \u00ab\u00a0I\u2019ve been lucky to experience every motorsport discipline, and I\u2019m still curious about all of them,<\/i> he said before setting off. I love the challenge. You really need to listen to your co-driver. I\u2019m fortunate to be driving this Lancia Ypsilon HF, and sometimes I feel the urge to let it show what it can do.<\/i>\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

The RS1, between Saint-Laurent and La Cabanette, served as an opening challenge before the legendary Col de Turini, tackled by all 62 crews during RS2 (La Boll\u00e8ne-V\u00e9subie to Moulinet). With temperatures at 7\u00b0C at the summit, this first test set the tone for what lies ahead in the opening phase of the E-Rallye.<\/p>\n
