{"id":10608255,"date":"2025-10-16T21:07:20","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T19:07:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/acm.mc\/etape-2-des-surprises-au-coeur-de-linedit\/"},"modified":"2025-10-16T23:06:02","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T21:06:02","slug":"leg-2-surprises-at-the-heart-of-an-unprecedented-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acm.mc\/en\/leg-2-surprises-at-the-heart-of-an-unprecedented-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Leg 2: Surprises at the heart of an unprecedented day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Between the crossings at the French-Italian border, the Col de Tende and the Col de la Lombarde, and the arrival in Isola 2000, Leg 2 of the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo was one of the most anticipated, and feared, by the 61 crews who set off Thursday morning from the Terrasses du Soleil in Monaco.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>RS3: A quartet in front<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the 18.806 km stage between Sospel and Breil-sur-Roya, held in the Col de Brouis, no fewer than four crews delivered a perfect performance, finishing the 3rd Regularity Stage without a single penalty point:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eneko Conde \/ Lukas Sergnese (Kia EV6 no. 6),<\/li>\n<li>J\u00e9r\u00f4me Aymard \/ Philippe Loens (Alpine A290 GTS no. 15),<\/li>\n<li>Emmanuel Guigou \/ \u00c9milien Le Borgne (Alpine A290 no. 19),<\/li>\n<li>Roman Babick \/ Jannik Hille (Volkswagen ID3 GTX no. 23).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"cta\" href=\"https:\/\/acm.mc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/nYRT-ERAMC2025_SR_3_-_Detailed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Results RS3<span class=\"gmail-Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>RS4: Guigou \/ Le Borgne shine again<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stage 4 was billed as one of the day\u2019s highlights\u2026 and it certainly delivered. Over the 14 km of this legendary stage, including 3.7 km of unpaved road and 46 tight hairpin turns on the Col de Tende, Emmanuel Guigou and \u00c9milien Le Borgne (Alpine A290 No.19) put on a masterclass.<\/p>\n<p>With only 46 penalty points, they finished 26 points ahead of the Jan Riha \/ Martin Venus crew, securing a crucial stage win. At the finish, \u00c9milien Le Borgne didn\u2019t hide his satisfaction:<br \/>\n<em>\u00ab\u00a0It was the perfect stage for him. The rally spirit was really there: strategy, car management, driving pleasure\u2026 This is the kind of stage where you truly have fun.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the championship leaders struggled a bit more:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Guerrini \/ Prusak \u2013 6th (84 pts)<\/li>\n<li>Conde \/ Sergnese \u2013 10th (118 pts)<\/li>\n<li>Zdarsky \/ Nabelek \u2013 18th (179 pts)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"cta\" href=\"https:\/\/acm.mc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/fjxx-ERAMC2025_SR_4_-_Detailed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Results RS4<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>RS5: Defending champions respond<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Winners in 2023 and 2024, Eneko Conde and Lukas Sergnese bounced back from their disappointing performance in the previous stage. The Spanish duo clinched RS5 with just one penalty point, ahead of the two-time Bridgestone FIA ecoRally Cup champions Michal Zdarsky \/ Jakub Nabelek (6 penalty points). The crew Jan Riha \/ Martin Venus (8 points) completes the podium.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"cta\" href=\"https:\/\/acm.mc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/QSbv-ERAMC2025_SR_5_-_Detailed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Results RS5<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>RS6: Portuguese in strong form<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the final Regularity Stage of the day, held in the stunning Col de la Lombarde between Italy and France and featuring a crossing at 2,347 meters of altitude, two Portuguese crews in a Kia EV3 reached Isola 2000 with the fewest penalty points. Car No. 39, driven by Eduardo Carpinteiro Albino and Jos\u00e9 Carlos Figueiredo (11 points), finished ahead of car No. 5 with Nuno Serrano and Ivo Tavares (17 points).<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"cta\" href=\"https:\/\/acm.mc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Gvm5-ERAMC2025_SR_6_-_Detailed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Results RS6<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>At the end of these first two stages, championship leaders Guido Guerrini \/ Artur Prusak head the E\u2011Rallye with 145 penalty points. They lead with a 43\u2011point margin over the Portuguese crew that won RS6.
