On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026, the Principality of Monaco will host two rounds of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The 20 Gen3 Evo single-seaters promise speed, excitement and spectacle in what promises to be a thrilling weekend!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the second consecutive season, the legendary <strong>Monaco Circuit<\/strong> will be the venue for two days of intense competition. On <strong>Saturday 16 May<\/strong>, the first <strong>free practice<\/strong> session will take place from <strong>7:30 am<\/strong>, followed by <strong>free practice<\/strong> 2 at <strong>9:10 am<\/strong>. <strong>Qualifying<\/strong> and all its stages (quarter-finals, semi-finals, final) will take place from <strong>10:40 am to 11:48 am<\/strong>. Finally, the <strong>10<sup>th<\/sup> Monaco E-Prix<\/strong> will get underway at <strong>3:05 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Sunday 17 May<\/strong>, the day\u2019s only <strong>free practice<\/strong> session will begin at <strong>8:30 am<\/strong>. <strong>Qualifying<\/strong> will take place from 10<strong>:40 am to 11:48 am<\/strong>, as on the previous day. To round off this magnificent weekend, the <strong>11<sup>th<\/sup> Monaco E-Prix<\/strong> will get underway at <strong>3:05 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A number of events will be taking place as part of this electric weekend. Firstly, Formula E is organising several conferences during the week, including one in <strong>Sophia Antipolis<\/strong> on Wednesday 13 May from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. On <strong>Friday 15 May<\/strong>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/acm.mc\/en\/fia-girls-on-track-an-immersion-at-the-heart-of-the-monaco-e-prix\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FIA Girls on Track<\/a> initiative will be taking place at the circuit.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Fan Village<\/strong>, set up on Quai Antoine 1er, will be open to everyone free of charge. It will offer a wide range of activities, including a gaming area, musical entertainment, a kids\u2019 zone, physical and sporting challenges, and several photo opportunities\u2026 Something to delight the whole family! Leader <strong>Pascal Wehrlein<\/strong> (Porsche Formula E Team) has seen his lead narrow as <strong>Mitch Evans<\/strong> (Jaguar TCS Racing), winner of the last E-Prix in Berlin, closes in.<\/p>\n<p>Third in the championship, <strong>Edoardo Mortara<\/strong> (Mahindra Racing) has yet to find the path to victory this season despite three pole positions and two podium finishes. The Monaco E-Prix would be an excellent opportunity to secure his first win of the year! <strong>Oliver Rowland<\/strong> (Nissan Formula E Team), fourth in the championship and winner of last season\u2019s Monaco E-Prix, is also among the favourites to win this year.<\/p>\n<p>Things are more complicated for <strong>S\u00e9bastien Buemi<\/strong> (Envision Racing), who is only 9th in the championship.
