Alongside the 10th and 11th Monaco E-Prix events, the Principality is hosting a range of community engagement activities, social impact initiatives, and technology showcases. Twelve years after its launch, Formula E continues to evolve, as demonstrated by the performance of the GEN3 Evo single-seaters, which are racing this weekend on the Circuit de Monaco.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Formula E cars have come a long way in twelve years! During the first season (2014\u20132015), only one model was homologated: the Spark-Renault SRT 01-E. Featuring a maximum power output of 200 kW, the GEN1<\/strong> (2014\u20132018) quickly evolved over the course of its seasons. Drivers had to switch cars mid-race and adapt to new types of technology.<\/p>\n

More powerful, the GEN2<\/strong> (2018\u20132022) had an energy storage capacity twice that of its predecessor and was capable of completing a full race distance. With a power output of 250 kW, it reached a top speed of 280 km\/h. The halo, a safety device mandated by the FIA, was introduced on the GEN2.<\/p>\n

The GEN3<\/strong> (2022\u20132024) continued this development trend, with a maximum power output of 350 kW and a top speed of around 320 km\/h. Lighter than the GEN2, it was also twice as efficient in energy recovery, with approximately 50% regenerative braking capability.<\/p>\n
