Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time in Free Practice 2, the British driver finishing ahead of his Scuderia Ferrari teammate, Charles Leclerc. Max Verstappen once again finished third in the session, ahead of both Mercedes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scuderia Ferrari<\/strong> is back on top at the Monaco Circuit<\/strong> ! This time, it is Lewis Hamilton<\/strong> who set the fastest time in the FP2, in an another session dominated by the Italian team. Mercedes<\/strong> and Red Bull<\/strong> remain slightly behind as the first day comes to an end. FP2 was marked by Lando Norris<\/strong>\u2019s retirement due to a mechanical issue, as well as a red flag at the end of the session caused by Sergio P\u00e9rez<\/strong> coming to a stop on the track.<\/p>\n

\n

Ferrari strikes right from the start<\/h4>\n

Already leading the first free practice session, the Scuderia Ferrari<\/strong> wasted no time in stepping up a gear. But this time, Charles Leclerc<\/strong> was right on the mark from the start. George Russell<\/strong>, Kimi Antonelli<\/strong>, and Max Verstappen<\/strong> closed in, but without causing any concern for the Maranello team\u2019s drivers.<\/p>\n

After his spin in FP1, Isack Hadjar<\/strong> (6th<\/sup>) was able to count on the exceptional work of his mechanics to get back on track. A bit further down the standings, Audi<\/strong>, which has high hopes for this weekend, impressed with its efficiency on the Principality\u2019s track : its two drivers finished 8th<\/sup> and 9th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

A tougher day for some teams<\/h4>\n

After finishing the first practice session more than a second off the fastest time, McLaren<\/strong> failed to improve in FP2. Oscar Piastri<\/strong> ended the session 1″062 behind the leader, while Lando Norris<\/strong> was unable to complete his second run of the day.<\/p>\n

In the Aston Martin<\/strong> garage, things aren\u2019t looking too good either. After finishing the two sessions in 20th<\/sup> and 22nd<\/sup> places, the British team is dealing with a gearbox issue. Reliability could be a problem during the Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

See you this Saturday, June 6<\/strong>, at 12:30 p. for the final free practice session ahead of qualifying for the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco 2026<\/strong>. Just like today, the drivers will be at the MGP Live Fanzone<\/strong> from 10:20 am to 11:10 am this Saturday.<\/p>\n
