The oldest road rally is set to write a new chapter in its history. And for this 95th<\/sup> edition, the Rallye Monte-Carlo aims to reaffirm its status as the flagship event on the international calendar. As the opening round of the 2027 FIA World Rally Championship*, the event organized by the Organizing Committee of Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) combines a prestigious heritage with a revamped route, already heralded as formidably selective!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following the reconnaissance runs, scheduled from Sunday 17 to Tuesday 19 January,<\/strong> the crews authorised to start will gather on Wednesday 20 January<\/strong> for the Shakedown (4.25 km)<\/strong> starting at 14:01,<\/strong> to get their bearings in race conditions. This set-up session has been modified in 2026 and now follows the Routes de la Garde<\/strong> and de Rabou<\/strong> in Gap,<\/strong> the host town for the event from 2014 to 2021, and once again from 2024 onwards.<\/p>\n

The official start of this 95th<\/sup> edition of the Rallye Monte-Carlo<\/strong> is scheduled for the following day, Thursday 21 January at 13:45,<\/strong> from the podium erected on Port Hercule in Monaco.<\/strong> The program for this first leg features three timed special stages, totalling 70.22 kilometres.<\/strong> Taking place in the Alpes-Maritimes<\/strong> and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence<\/strong> departments, the stages are: \u2018Col de Bleine \/ Aiglun\u2019 (SS 1 – 25.47 km \u2013 15:35), \u2018Clumanc \/ Lambruisse\u2019 (SS 2 – 20.95 km – 18:05)<\/strong> and \u2018Esclangon \/ Seyne-les-Alpes\u2019 (SS 3 \u2013 23.80 km \u2013 20:05).<\/strong> They will require constant vigilance right from the start.<\/p>\n

Friday 22 January<\/strong> sees the action head north of Gap<\/strong> for the second day of rallying, spread across two departments (Hautes-Alpes and Is\u00e8re)<\/strong> for a total of 100.56 kilometers<\/strong> against the clock. The route features a loop of three special stages to be completed twice, comprising \u2018Agni\u00e8res-en-D\u00e9voluy \/ Pellafol\u2019 (SS 4\/7 – 17.20 km – 09:25\/14:45), \u2018La Salle-en-Beaumont \/ Les C\u00f4tes-de-Corps\u2019 (SS 5\/8 – 14.40 km \u2013 10:25\/15:45)<\/strong> and finally \u2018Saint-Maurice \/ Aubessagne\u2019 (SS 6\/9 – 18.68 km \u2013 11:25\/16:45).<\/strong> It goes without saying that this leg promises to be anything but a foregone conclusion!<\/p>\n

Heading west on Saturday 23 January,<\/strong> the third day of racing will take place across two departments (Hautes-Alpes and Dr\u00f4me)<\/strong> over a total of 112.92<\/strong> timed kilometers. With a loop of three special stages to be tackled twice, just like the day before, this is sure to be the trickiest day to navigate. On the program for this longest day of the rally are \u2018Laborel \/ Montauban-sur-l\u2019Ouv\u00e8ze\u2019 (SS 10\/13 – 18.58 km – 08:05\/15:05), \u2018Saint-Nazaire-le-D\u00e9sert \/ La Motte-Chalancon\u2019 (SS 11\/14 – 22.00 km – 10:05\/17:05)<\/strong> and \u2018La B\u00e2tie-des-Fonts \/ Sigottier\u2019 (SS 12\/15 – 15.88 km – 11:15\/18:25),<\/strong> with no doubt just as many twists and turns in store as during the first two days.<\/p>\n

To round off the event, on Sunday 24 January,<\/strong> three special stages totalling 69.87 kilometers<\/strong> are to be covered between Gap<\/strong> and Monaco<\/strong> for this final stage, where the ultimate showdown will take place between the timed sections of \u2018Clumanc \/ Lambruisse\u2019 (SS 16 – 20.95 km – 08:00), \u2018Col de Bleine \/ Aiglun\u2019 (SS 17 – 25.47 km – 09:40)<\/strong> and finally \u2018La Boll\u00e8ne-V\u00e9subie \/ Moulinet\u2019 (SS 18 – 23.45 km – 13:15),<\/strong> which will serve as the Wolf Power Stage.<\/strong> Finally, the prize-giving ceremony is scheduled to take place on Port Hercule<\/strong> in Monaco from 17h00\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n
