The “CRIC” is to the Rally what the Marshals training camp is to the Grands Prix… Mean by “CRIC”: Circuit Road Information to the Commissioners. It took place on the night of 17 to 18 December 2014.
The space of a very long evening, the annual training session was organized to “allow everyone to find their marks before the major events of 2015,” as repeatedly stressed by Bernard Richelmi, President of the Corps of Marshals of the Automobile Club de Monaco .
The initial target of this field operation was to test all the actors in real conditions as desired by the training committee of the Corps of Marshals of the Automobile Club de Monaco .
A real practice that has assessed the teams in place on a course made up for the 83rd Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo, a Special Stage, to cross three times, and three parks (Regroup, Service and Parc Fermé) and for the Regularity Zones (18th Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique, 16th Rallye Monte-Carlo des Energies Nouvelles, 6th Rallye Monte-Carlo ZENN – Zero Emission / No Noise), with a loop of four zones and two regularity Parc Fermé.
Start was given in Fontvieille area – headquarters of the operation for the occasion – shortly before 20h00, to a dozen of competitors for ensuring the proper functioning of the simulation with experienced drivers, all members of the Commission of the Historic Vehicules of the ACM.
In addition to the timing control and standards (Via GPS and Tag/Heuer – SIT Time keeping), practices on which the Commissioners teams have had to train a whole series of possible events, known and likely to mobilize the security device were simulated, according to multiple scenarios provided, taking into account regularly occurring events and incidents in the events organized each year.
Commissioners of the teams, each under the direction of their Chief, have thus relayed on various positions start and finish to complete including the usual timing work after completing all the installation of operations hardware provided by the different providers.
Throughout this long evening, several members of the body of training committee of the Corps of Marshals Board has ensured the monitoring and evaluation of all the participant. It ended with a debriefing and assessment, to prepare with confidence for the next 4 rallies organized by ACM between January, February and March 2015.
