Some sponsors have made such a mark in F1 that they are still remembered, 50 years later. The Durex brand, founded in 1929, appeared on Alan Jones’s Surtees TS19, in 1976, and promised DUrability, REliability and EXcellence to its potential customers. However, it was not enough to reach the climax of an F1 win.
