Three decades of innovation and challenges

The 100% electric road race of the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. As has been the case since its launch, competitors will have to find the right formula for combining consistency and battery management. The penultimate round of the 2025 Bridgestone FIA ecoRally Cup promises to be demanding in many ways…

It is always a highly anticipated event for enthusiasts of this rapidly growing discipline. In Monaco more than anywhere else, the event reserved for electric vehicles follows in the footsteps of motor sport and its legendary heritage. Once again, the ACM Organising Committee has opted for a technical and selective route, featuring historic stages from the legendary Rallye Monte Carlo.

14 regularity stages

On the programme: four condensed legs, spread over three French departments, namely Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Var and Alpes-Maritimes, but also a foray into Italian territory, more specifically the Piedmont mountains. 14 regularity stages and some 1,079 km of route, including more than 230-timed km, will be contested.

Several new stages, adding a breath of modernity to this competition, which began in 1995 under the name “Rallye Monte-Carlo de Véhicules Électriques”, enrich this demanding course, which will put the batteries of the participating vehicles to the test.

At the end of each leg, competitors will be able to take full advantage of the Principality’s extensive charging network. Monaco ON offers some 650 charging points in public car parks and on the street, giving crews plenty of opportunities to recharge their batteries before hitting the road again.

A five-star line-up

From 15 to 18 October, the 62 crews from 18 countries, if they are cleared to start after the administrative and technical checks, will compete for the title in this anniversary edition of the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo.

Among the competitors to watch are the Spanish pair Eneko Conde / Lukas Sergnese, who are dreaming of a hat-trick in the Principality after their victories in the two previous editions, as well as the crew of Guido Guerrini / Arthur Prusak, who have just taken the lead in the Bridgestone FIA ecoRally Cup standings.

Second in 2024, the Monegasque duo Olivier Campana / Nicolas Milanesio, are aiming for victory and will have to fight it out with the Belgian VW Club, which is once again participating in large numbers in the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo. Finally, keep an eye on the Italian-British duo Stefano Modena / Jack Scarlett Richardson, competing for the second time, as well as the experienced crew Bruno Saby / Christophe Marques or the pair Emmanuel Guigou / Emilien Le Borgne.

How can you follow the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo?

37 models from 17 different car manufacturers will line up at the start, which will be held with great pomp and circumstance in the majestic place du Casino. Like its predecessors, the electric race is opening the doors to elegance and tradition, values that are dear to the Principality.

Join us at 6:30pm in the heart of the Monte-Carlo district for the official start of the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo, or watch from home thanks to the live broadcast of the ceremony on the ACM’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
