Safety Rules

In 2026, the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique will take place on closed roads. To ensure everyone’s safety and allow spectators to fully enjoy the event, please carefully read the following instructions.

1. Public areas

Enjoy the Rally in complete safety from designated public areas only.

  • Areas marked with green safety netting and/or green tape.
  • Strictly prohibited to stand behind red tape marking hazardous areas.

2. Follow the instructions

Marshals are here to help you fully enjoy the event and ensure everyone’s safety.

Please follow their instructions at all times.

3. Stage access

For safety reasons, no entry or movement is permitted in the special stage:

  • from 2 hours by car before the start of the first competitor,
  • 30 minutes on foot before the start of the first competitor,
  • until the completion of the stage.
  • The stage may be delayed or cancelled if spectators are in hazardous areas.
  • Please ensure proper behaviour and positioning of people accompanying you.
  • Being close to the action does not mean being close to the cars.
  • Parking is strictly prohibited on the special stage roads and along the secured route.

4. Mountain Law

Please remember to comply with the Mountain Law regulations in the areas crossed by the Rally.

  • Vehicle fitted with winter tires, or
  • Snow chains or snow socks must be carried.

5. Mountain passes closed during winter

Mountain passes closed during the winter period will remain inaccessible throughout the Rally.

  • Col de l’Écharasson (RS 1 & 4)
  • Col de Tourniol (RS 3 & 6)
  • Le Château / La Bâtie-des-Fonts (including Col de Carabès) (RS 12)
  • Roads of Col de l’Orme and Col de l’Ablé (RS 18)

6. Environment

Please respect the environment and private properties crossed by the Rally.

  • Do not do on other people’s land what you would not accept at home.
  • No fires, wood cutting or littering.
