The Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique is an iconic event that celebrates the golden age of motorsport through a demanding route steeped in history. Open to car models that competed in the legendary Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo between 1911 and 1986, this event keeps alive a tradition where passion, regularity and precision are the guiding principles.
Since 2026, the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique has entered a new chapter in its history, notably with the introduction of Regularity Stages held on roads closed to public traffic. This major development has strengthened the event’s sporting dimension while preserving its authenticity. Here, victory is not determined by outright speed, but by the crews’ ability to maintain a prescribed average speed with precision and consistency on roads as legendary as they are demanding.
Competitors set off from several European cities before converging on Valence, a traditional meeting point and essential stopover. This initial journey marks the beginning of an intense adventure, during which every crew must already demonstrate reliability and consistency on Europe’s winter roads.
Once gathered in Valence, the crews face a succession of long and demanding stages through spectacular landscapes. From winding roads and mountain passes to sometimes unpredictable winter conditions, competitors rediscover the sensations and challenges that have shaped the legend of the Monte-Carlo. Along the route, stops in welcoming villages bring together local entertainment, regional food tastings and encounters between enthusiasts.
The arrival at Monaco’s Port Hercule marks the end of this unique adventure, filled with emotions and unforgettable memories. As tradition dictates, participants then gather for a prestigious gala evening to celebrate the winners and everyone who has contributed to keeping the spirit of this legendary rally alive.
The 29th edition of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique will take place from 27 January to 3 February 2027.
