Monaco E-Prix: Looking Ahead to 2031

The Monaco E-Prix is here to stay. Formula E and the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) have officially extended their partnership through 2031. On this occasion, the new dates for the 2027 Monaco E-Prix have also been confirmed, with the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returning to the streets of the Principality on 1 and 2 May 2027.

Since its inaugural edition in 2015, the Monaco E-Prix has established itself as one of the highlights of the Formula E calendar. Initially held every two years, the event has become an annual fixture since 2021 and is now contested on the full Monaco Circuit, delivering ever more spectacular racing for drivers and fans alike. The Monaco E-Prix also provides an opportunity to showcase numerous initiatives and projects promoting sustainable mobility.

A Shared Commitment to the Future

The extension of this agreement until 2031 reflects the shared ambition of Formula E and the Automobile Club de Monaco to continue developing the world’s premier all-electric single-seater championship in the Principality.

We are pleased to announce that the Automobile Club de Monaco and Formula E have agreed to extend their partnership through 2031. This extension underscores the Principality’s central role in the evolution of electric mobility and ensures the continuity of the Monaco E-Prix, which has become a highlight of the international calendar. The ACM looks forward to continuing this journey alongside Formula E and contributing year after year to Monaco’s global prestige.” Automobile Club de Monaco.

This extension comes as Formula E prepares to enter a new era with the arrival of the GEN4 car, promising even greater performance and more exciting racing from the 2026-2027 season onwards. Monaco fans already had a first glimpse of the future during the 2026 edition, when the new GEN4 car was showcased in a demonstration run on the Monaco Circuit.
