Free Practice Session 2 : Vettel set the new time record

Sebastian Vettel answered to Lewis Hamilton fastest time breaking the record of the track during the free practice session 2 of the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco .

The German set the fastest time of the afternoon in 1’12’’720 and beat the previous mark by seven tenth (1’13’’425).

The Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo (+0.487) took the second fastest time ahead of the other Ferrari drove by Kimi Räikkönen (+0.563) and the Toro Rosso of the Russian Daniil Kvyat (+0.611).

Renault driver Jolyon Palmer (+2.896) troubled the session with an engine failure. He had to stop his car at the Portier corner. He finished eighteenth, two rang behind the rookie Lance Stroll (+1.754). The young Canadian ended his session against the rail after a mistake at the Massenet curve.
