Kia, queen of the electric Monte-Carlo !

With only four penalty points between them and their first rival in the standings at the end of the four legs of the 2025 E-Rallye Monte-Carlo, the crew of Guido Guerrini and Artur Prusak claimed victory in what was one of the most competitive editions to date. It’s the fourth consecutive victory for the South Korean manufacturer in the Principality in this event. A look back at the 2025 edition.

For the past four years, Kia has been making its mark more than ever on the electric version of the Monte-Carlo. Kia EV6 (2022), Kia E-Niro (2023 & 2025), Kia EV6 GT (2024)… and this year, the Kia EV3, which finished second, further strengthens the South Korean manufacturer’s grip on this rally format.

This dominance is largely due to Kia’s major investment in electrifying its lineup over the past decade. Its models are designed to offer stable and predictable range, and all come equipped with efficient energy recovery systems – crucial advantages in events where energy management is key and every second matters. This supremacy has also been clearly demonstrated for several years in the Bridgestone FIA ecoRally Cup championship.

At the finish of the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo, we could feel the pride of Artur Prusak, co-driver of the no.2 Kia E-Niro. « We’re feeling very emotional because it came down to almost nothing. » For his 16th participation at the Monegasque event, Guido Guerrini’s teammate was delighted by his teammate’s performance throughout the four intense Legs. « As Guido said, it hasn’t really sunk in yet. We haven’t processed it all, but we feel like we did a great job. The gaps were getting tighter, and in the end, it could have been us or it could have been our competitors… »

The co-driver of car no.2 also reflected on the fierce battle they had to fight, which he said had never been so intense. « It’s my 16th time here, and the level of competition over these four days was incredibly tough. There were at least 15 crews who could have won. The standard was extremely high, which makes this victory all the more satisfying », emphasized Artur Prusak.

Winners of just one Regularity Stage, RS8 (tied with six other crews), Guido Guerrini and Artur Prusak mainly demonstrated strong consistency and control to fend off the late charge from the Portuguese duo Eduardo Carpinteiro Albino and José Carlos Figueiredo (Kia EV3 no.39). They finished with just four fewer penalty points than their closest rivals and could finally enjoy a deserved win at the end of a stressful final Leg.

General classification

A successful edition

The sentiment was shared by most of the crews, especially the winners, who expressed gratitude toward the organizers. « For this edition, the Automobile Club de Monaco went all out and gave us a fantastic event », said Artur Prusak.

« We really enjoyed the event and had some great Legs as well. Fourteen well-chosen stages, what more can you ask for? » Now a three-time winner of the fully electric Rallye Monte-Carlo (twice as a driver, and now also once as a co-driver), he couldn’t have been happier.

Enthusiasm shared by the race director, Dr. Jacques Rossi: « This edition seemed to satisfy the majority of our crews; such positive feedback encourages us to keep improving! » All of this with the unconditional support of the volunteers from the Automobile Club de Monaco, once again mobilized and present for the event. There were 110 of them at the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo 2025. Thank you to all of them.

And so, this anniversary edition comes to a close! Since 1995, the event has continuously evolved, showcasing progress in the global development of electric mobility!
