In the Richelmi family, the passion for motor racing expresses itself in the past and in the future. Entered for this 12th GP de Monaco Historique in the Race B category, the father, Jean-Pierre, could not defend its chances because of a mechanical problem on Jean-Jacques Bally’s Gordini T16, dating back to 1952, that he was supposed to drive.
His son, Stéphane, is also an excellent Monégasque driver and races in 2021 in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, in a hydrogen-propelled prototype of the H24 Racing team. This innovating and radical car will be entered for Le Mans 24 Hours in 2024, with a crew made of Stéphane Richelmi and two Formula Electric drivers, Norman Nato (Venturi) and Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes).
