Leg 3: Iberian duel for the podium, Guerrini / Prusak maintain a slim lead

In theory more manageable than the previous one, Leg 3 of the E‑Rallye Monte‑Carlo 2025 nevertheless played tricks on some of the favorites. The battle for victory and the podium remains undecided by the evening after the last charging stop in the Principality. Competitors tackled a day of driving in the Haut‑Var and Alpes‑Maritimes on roads well known from the Rallye Monte‑Carlo.

RS7: A Volkswagen one‑two to open the day

The first Regularity Stage in the Var region of the E‑Rallye Monte‑Carlo 2025, held around Lac de Saint‑Cassien, produced a Volkswagen one‑two at the top of the 14.686 km stage. Crews No. 11 and No. 16 ended with 7 penalty points, just one fewer than Kia No. 2.

Top 3 for RS7 (Tanneron / Montauroux):

  • Daniel Ott / Maria Ott‑Vallis (Volkswagen ID5 GTX No. 11)
  • Eric Cunin / Laurent Secretin (Volkswagen ID3 GTX No. 16)
  • Guido Guerrini / Artur Prusak (Kia E‑Niro No. 2)

RS8: Seven flawless performances!

Set around a military area, this 8th Regularity Stage promised to be explosive, and it delivered! A rare achievement: seven cars completed it without collecting any penalty points.

The seven crews tied at zero penalties by the end of RS8 (Bargemon / La Roque-Esclapon):

  • Guido Guerrini / Artur Prusak (Kia E‑Niro No. 2)
  • Kalin Dedikov / Antoaneta Dedikova (Kia EV6 GT No. 3)
  • Michel Decremer / Marie Claire Martens (Volkswagen ID7 No. 9)
  • Patrick Van Remoortel / Bjorn Clauw (Volkswagen ID3 No. 14)
  • Emmanuel Guigou / Émilien Le Borgne (Alpine A290 No. 19)
  • Dimitri Ryckeboer / Christian Revelli (Cupra Born No. 50)
  • Romain Landreat / Romain Montembault (DS N°8 No. 55)

RS9: Crew No. 11 doubles down

After a midday break at the magnificent Château de Taulane, the competitors resumed with a special stage on the iconic Col de Bleine. Already strong in SR7, the Swiss crew of car No. 11 repeated their performance in this 9th Regularity Stage. This time, the Ott / Ott‑Vallis duo was joined at the top by the Alpine A290 GTS No. 15 of Jérôme Aymard and Philippe Loens.

Top 3 for RS9 (Andon / Le Mas):

  • Daniel Ott / Maria Ott‑Vallis (Volkswagen ID5 GTX No. 11)
  • Jérôme Aymard / Philippe Loens (Alpine A290 GTS No. 15)
  • Olivier Campana / Nicolas Milanesio (BMW I4 No. 8)
  • Eduardo Carpinteiro Albino / José Carlos Figueiredo (Kia EV3 No. 39)

RS10: Conde / Sergnese fall behind, Portuguese crews capitalize

With winding mountain roads open to traffic, the 10th and final Regularity Stage of the day proved treacherous for some podium hopefuls. Eneko Conde and Lukas Sergnese finished only 40th in SR10, suffering 40 penalty points during the stage. One’s misfortune was another’s opportunity, and the Portuguese crews of Eduardo Carpinteiro Albino and José Carlos Figueiredo took advantage to reclaim second place overall, a position they had lost since RS7.

Top 3 for RS10 (Ascros / Toudon):

  • Eduardo Carpinteiro Albino / José Carlos Figueiredo (Kia EV3 No. 39)
  • Jérôme Aymard / Philippe Loens (Alpine A290 GTS No. 15)
  • Dimitri Ryckeboer / Christian Revelli (Cupra Born No. 50)

RS10 Results

After the first three Regularity stages, championship leaders Guido Guerrini and Artur Prusak still lead the E-Rallye with 173 penalty points. Winners of RS10, Eduardo Carpinteiro Albino and José Carlos Figueiredo currently hold second place with 36 more points. Eneko Conde and Lukas Sergnese complete the virtual podium, with a 14-point gap separating them from the Portuguese crew.

See you tomorrow for the final stage of this E‑Rallye Monte‑Carlo, where everything is still possible, both for the win and for the final steps of the podium! First competitor departs Saturday, October 18 at 7 a.m. from the Terrasses du Soleil in Monaco, heading toward the Alpes‑de‑Haute‑Provence and the Alpes‑Maritimes, with more than 2000 m altitude at the Col des Champs and nearly 400 km on the agenda.
