With almost 200 days to go until the Monaco E-Prix 2025 (03-04 May), Formula E has launched an educational programme in the Principality to raise awareness of climate change among schoolchildren. The programme is called Driving Force. This initiative, aimed at under-12s, is based on sustainable development and community involvement activities.
Keen to leave a positive legacy in the host cities of its calendar and to empower children as key players in the ecological transition, Formula E inaugurated a brand new educational programme in the Principality this October. The very first school to receive this programme was the International School of Monaco, thanks in particular to the support of the Prince Albert of Monaco II Foundation. As a result, 54 pupils in Year 6, aged between 10 and 11, will regularly benefit from modules focusing on sustainable development and key topics such as renewable energy. Throughout the year, workshops will also be held to present Formula E’s sustainable development strategy.
Driving Force tackles climate and societal issues in an optimistic and engaging way to encourage children to engage with sustainable themes and create a positive impact themselves at a time when eco-anxiety is on the rise among young people and their parents.
