Since the 2018 edition, being fully aware of its responsibility to add to the value of an important asset of international automobile heritage, the Organizing Committee and the Commission of Vintage Cars at Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) have decided to modify the essence of their meeting by putting Formula 1 on top of the list. This is why, in 2021, in the authentic and magical setup of the Principality’s track, the 12th Grand Prix de Monaco Historique will remain faithful to this commitment by celebrating, among other things, the first win for Ferrari in the Formula 1 World Championship …/strong>
The 2020 edition, in line with this goal, was meant to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the creation of the World Formula 1 Championship. However, the Covid-19 pandemic forced ACM to cancel the event. But it has not decimated the current field of amazing vintage F1 cars and 2021 will allow amateurs of the category which represents the pinnacle of motorsport to race for real.
Despite all current sanitary protocols, more than 90 competitors will be present! And every series will have everything in stock to please the passionate as well as the connoisseur fans! There will be a fight between “voiturettes” in the heat of the A Series, the iconics Maserati 250F models facing a great diversity of single-seaters with front engines (B Series), the richness of the C Series (Sports Cars) and the D Series (F1s from the 60s). One third of the E Series will be made of cars powered by 12-cylinder engines (Ferrari, Matra and BRM), in addition to the F Series with three former Grand Prix drivers and a multiple winner of Le Mans 24 Hours. Last but not least, the G Series will host more recent F1s of a great variety of colours …
The diversity and richness of the fields will allow to celebrate the greatness of the Ferrari brand, and in particular its very first win in the Formula 1 World Championship, by Argentine’s Froilan Gonzales in 1951 on the Silverstone track.
Four models that belong to the legend of motorsport will be visible and active on the mythical Monaco track:
The Dino 246 (N°20 in the B Series) will allow us to remember the times when single-seaters of the Italian brand were powered by front engines. The car entered this year is the last front engine F1 to have won a Grand Prix, with Phil Hill at the wheel in Monza, at the 1960 Italian GP
In the C Series, the 250 Mille Miglia of 1953 is a testimony to the one and only year (1952) when F1s were replaced, in Monaco, by Sportscars
Four (yes, 4!) Type 312 entered in the E Series (N°3/4/6/8) will evoke the first F1s equipped with a 3-liter engine.
Both 312 B3 entered in the F Series will be driven by Jean Alesi and René Arnoux (former works drivers and winners of F1 GPs for the Scuderia), so that we can celebrate the Renaissance of the Maranello firm in the 70s, starting to win again in 1974 with Niki Lauda at the wheel.
For this selection of amazing cars, as well as for the rest of the field, the main factors which presided to the choice of cars accepted by ACM are absolute rarity and a sense of the very exceptional. The spectators will then be able to watch 7 races involving a 100th legendary cars, all of them in a perfect and unique state of conservation.
During two and a half days, competitors will share their passion for competition at the highest level of motorsport, in real races, surrounded with the sound and smell which characterize their cars, confronted to their rivals at that time. The track, set in the heart of the Principality of Monaco, is still 80% the same as the track in 1929. It is still used today for the Formula 1 World Championship…"

21st Rallye Monte-Carlo ZENN / Zero Emission No Noise
ZENN… LET'S STAY ZEN!
Cancelled in 2020 due to the devastation caused by Storm Alex, the 100% electric & hydrogen Rallye Monte-Carlo opus is back this year with a challenging course totalling more than 350 kilometres in stage time, divided into 15 Regularity Stages (RS) and nearly 1,000 kilometres of road section. As requested by the Organizing Committee of this 5th edition, the "Grand Départ" will be held in the city of Châteauneuf, in the department of the Loire, the first municipal domain in France to be autonomous in green energy. The competitors will then head towards Valence in the Drôme department for 2 days. Finally, the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo 2021 will arrive in Monaco for the weekend where the SR will be organized between the departments of the Var and the Alpes-Maritimes. Last but not least, competitors should no longer have any difficulty finding charging points in the Principality with numerous points now available in the many public car parks or in outdoor parking spaces reserved exclusively for electric vehicles...

About E-Rallye Monte-Carlo
E-Rally Monte-Carlo is an authentic regularity road race reserved to 100% Electric Vehicles (excluding any use of range extenders) and 100% Hydrogen-powered cars. It is now very appreciated by car manufacturers and race teams who are eager to show, in a real and tough environment, the technological and innovative potential of their vehicles. Its new name comes back to 2016, following previous editions called “Rally Monte-Carlo for Electric Vehicles” (1995 to 1999), then “Rally Monte-Carlo Fuel Cell & Hybrids” (2005, 2006), Rally Monte-Carlo for Alternative Energy Vehicles (2007 to 2011) and Rally Monte-Carlo for New Energies / Rally Monte-Carlo ZENN (2012 to 2015). This 5th edition of E-Rally Monte-Carlo will be a race of the 2020 FIA E-Rally Regularity Cup.
By definition, E-Rallys are promoting new automobile technologies designed to limit all sorts of pollution (fine particles, CO2, etc.) They also encourage drivers to adopt an eco-responsible driving style, the priority being the protection of environment and the transition in the transportation sector, thanks to using electricity as an energy source for propelling vehicles. This is exactly what Automobile Club de Monaco has been trying to demonstrate over the past twenty years, pursuing with conviction its visionary role. Automobile Club de Monaco remains a proposing force in that domain: E-Rally Monte-Carlo, dedicated to new generation vehicles, has always moved forward, year after year, to stay in phase with modernity.
Historic partner of the Automobile Club, e-born, the public network of charging stations with 1200 terminals on the counter today in 11 departments of the South-East, goes back into the adventure by making available its terminals located along the roads of the E-Rallye.

Race A : a French 1-2, with Talbot-Lago and Bugatti ahead of Maserati
The win in Race A for pre-war cars should have been taken by British driver Patrick Blakeney-Edwards, whose Frazer Nash from 1935 started in pole and lead for more than half of the race. However, a major technical problem forced him to retire and to park safely his superb single-seater. So that the sky blue Talbot-Lago driven by Switzerland’s Christian Traber took the lead and won the race, ahead of two other legendary cars, Austrian Niklas Halusa’s venerable Bugatti 35 B and Scottish driver Ewen Sergison’s Maserati 6 CM. On the podium, the trophies were handed to the happy drivers by Christian Tornatore, the General Commissioner of Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM).
