Course A2: Claudia Hürtgen, joker de luxe

Invitée surprise dans la Série A2 « Juan Manuel Fangio », Claudia Hürtgen a remplacé samedi matin Alex Birkenstock, rentré chez lui pour raisons familiales, au volant de la Ferrari 246.

En découvrant cette voiture de 1960, elle a fait sensation et réussi le meilleur temps des qualifications. Partie en pole dimanche, elle a résisté pendant toute la course à la Tec-Mec F415 de Tony Wood, une voiture de 1959 à moteur avant, comme sa Ferrari. Une course interrompue à un tour de l’arrivée par un drapeau rouge consécutif à un « empilage » de Lotus au virage Antony-Noghès. Le podium a été complété par l’Espagnol Guillermo Fierro-Eleta (Maserati 250F).

Déjà victorieuse au Grand Prix de Monaco Historique en 2000, lors de la 2^e édition, Mme Hürtgen est double championne d’Allemagne en voitures de tourisme (DTM Challenge, 2003 et 2004) et a remporté les 24 Heures de Dubaï en 2011. Elle vient de relancer sa carrière en rejoignant l’équipe Abt-Cupra en Extreme E, la nouvelle catégorie réservée aux SUV électriques dans des lieux insolites. Sacrée pilote !
