To mark International Women’s Day on Sunday 8th March, the Women’s Speed Queen Kart Trophy 2026 brought girls and women together at BOX98, situated in Fontvieille, to share their passion for motorsport.
Created as a 100% female amateur event by the Women in Motorsport Commission of the Automobile Club of Monaco and BOX98 in Fontvieille, this unprecedented day from 10am to 4pm was designed to offer a moment of discovery, excitement, and connection in a welcoming, family-friendly and supportive atmosphere. The goal was simple yet powerful: to give girls and women the opportunity to experience the thrill of motorsport in a comfortable environment — and to show that even in a world traditionally dominated by men, there is truly a place for women on track.
These girls were present to share their passion and expertise with the girls and women who came to participate.
Each registration (27euros) included 8 minutes of track time, during which drivers set their fastest lap. There were various age categories racing :
A lunch was offered by the Automobile Club of Monaco to participants at the Paddock Bar, then the final race for the “kids category” and the final for the Speed Queen. This was then followed by a prize giving.
The Automobile Club of Monaco trophies were presented by Tiffaney Perlino, President of the Women in Motorsport Commission ACM, Charles Flaujac President of the Karting Commission ACM, Celine Cottalarda Comite droits des Femmes, Ella Hakkinen, Vicky Farfus and Lina Salamanca.
The following won the best lap time in their category:
And the Team Trophy went to Martine and Carla Ackermann.
Competing in a male-dominated environment, as is often the case in motorsport, empowers girls and women to feel comfortable and capable in similar environments beyond the track. These lessons inspire young participants and fans alike to pursue excellence in whatever field they choose — whether in engineering, business, or personal development.
Tiffaney Perlino, President of the Women in Motorsport Commission at the Automobile Club of Monaco says “Beyond competition, motorsport teaches dedication, teamwork, and resilience — qualities that mirror the lessons we apply in everyday life. Driving well builds confidence. Motorsport has an incredible ability to unite people from all backgrounds. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or what language you speak. When engines start and the lights go green, everyone shares the same exhilaration.”
This Amateur Female Karting Trophy is more than an event. It is a statement: Motorsport is for everyone.

On the occasion of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), the Automobile Club de Monaco took action to raise awareness of responsible consumption and waste reduction through a series of concrete initiatives. Result: 140 kg of waste collected, thanks to the involvement of our staff and committed partners.
Each year, EWWR brings people together around a shared goal: reducing the amount of waste produced and encouraging more sustainable practices. The week highlights initiatives that are accessible to everyone, promoting sorting, reuse, recycling, and more mindful consumption. For the 2025 edition, the theme focused on WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), a major environmental challenge.
To fully embrace this dynamic, ACM rolled out several complementary initiatives related to the theme of EWWR 2025 throughout this week.
Within ACM, and in collaboration with the Green Monaco association, a WEEE collection drive was organized. Phones, tablets, chargers, earphones, and other unused electronic devices were gathered.
This initiative aims to reduce electronic waste, encourage recycling or refurbishment, and give a second life to equipment that can still be used. 115 kg of waste collected.
To extend this effort outdoors, a waste-picking morning was organized on the « Sentier des Douaniers » (Monaco – Roquebrune-Cap-Martin section) with the aim of raising awareness about protecting natural environments and to take local action. 7 kg of waste collected.
EWWR is also about awareness. An information session followed by a friendly quiz was offered to ACM staff. The objective: to better understand proper sorting habits and the specifics of electrical and electronic waste recycling, in a fun and collective way.
Finally, old products belonging to staff and volunteers were recovered as part of upcycling projects, which have been in place at ACM for several years.
This initiative fully aligns with a circular economy approach and more sustainable consumption. 18 kg of clothing collected, representing 66 items.
EWWR 2025 was an opportunity to remind everyone that every action counts. Thanks to the mobilization of our teams and the support of partners such as Green Monaco, these initiatives helped us collect waste, raise awareness, and take meaningful steps for the environment.
Together, let’s commit for the future!

On this Sunday, April 6th, we commemorate the 20th anniversary of the passing of H.S.H. Prince Rainier III.
His deep attachment to the Automobile Club de Monaco and the unwavering support he consistently showed remain a true source of inspiration for our daily commitment. His memory continues to guide each of our actions.
A true motorsport enthusiast, Prince Rainier III played a pivotal role in the growth and international prestige of the Monaco Grand Prix. Through his vision and dedication, the event has become one of the most iconic and celebrated races on the Formula 1 calendar, blending tradition, excellence, and emotion. In 2005, the official Monaco Grand Prix poster was dedicated to him, offering a heartfelt tribute to his memory and unwavering commitment to this legendary event.
Just 100 years ago, on 29 March 1925, a decisive step was taken in the history of motor sport in the Principality. On that day, the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) officially adopted its current name, succeeding the name of Sport Automobile et Vélocipédique de Monaco (SAVM) and asserting its own identity within the international motor racing landscape.
The origins of the Automobile Club de Monaco date back to 1890, when a group of automobile and cycling enthusiasts decided to join forces under the name of ‘Sport Vélocipédique Monégasque’. At the dawn of the 20th century, the automobile revolution rapidly transformed modes of transport and attitudes. However, at the instigation of Prince Louis II, the idea of a specifically Monegasque club dedicated to motoring took shape.
In 1925, the association officially became the Automobile Club de Monaco. This change of name reflected the desire of the Principality to assert itself on the international scene as a dynamic and innovative nation in the field of motor sport.
Since then, the ACM has continued to develop and organise major events. In 1929, under the impetus of Antony Noghès, the ACM launched the first Monaco Grand Prix, a unique urban race that would become one of the most prestigious events in world motor sport.
Today, the Automobile Club de Monaco continues this tradition of excellence by organising renowned events such as the Formula 1 TAG Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco, the Rallye Monte-Carlo WRC and the Monaco E-Prix. Its commitment to innovation and the preservation of motorsport history remains as strong as ever.
29 March 1925 will remain a symbolic date, marking the beginning of a new era for the ACM and its international influence.
Following the six-year renewal of the agreement between the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) and the Formula One Group on November 14 last year, the ACM’s Events Organising Committee is today unveiling the dates of the track events that will be held until 2031.
In 2025, spring in the Principality will see the Monaco E-Prix held for the first time over 2 days, on 03 & 04 May. This will be followed by the 82nd Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco, on 22-25 May.
From 2026, the events calendar of the legendary Circuit de Monaco will change. In accordance with the agreements signed with the promotor, the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco will now take place every first weekend in June. In addition, there will now be 3 weeks between each event. It should be noted that these dates are subject to approval of the calendar by the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council.
The Grand Prix de Monaco Historique will continue to be held every other year. Consequently, even-numbered years will begin with the historic event at the end of April, before moving on to the Monaco E-Prix in mid-May and the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco at the beginning of June.
Book your tickets for our upcoming circuit events now on our online Ticketing service.
The potential dates for the Monaco E-Prix from 2027 are subject to the renewal of the current contract with the Promoter.
