Since 1939, the Medals for Physical Education and Sports has honored and rewarded personalities who participate in the development of Sport in the Principality of Monaco.
This medal, in bronze, silver or vermeil, underlines the commitment of its owners.
And once again this year, as part of the festivities for Monaco’s National Day, many of these players were rewarded by H.S.H. Prince Albert II.
Among them were 15 recipients from the Automobile Club de Monaco, whom President Michel BOERI also honored during a dedicated dinner organized in the ACM’s Salons on Wednesday 27th November 2024.

The Automobile Club de Monaco has been working for many years with the Monaco Government to protect the environment and organise new energy events, and for the third year running it took part in the European Week for Waste Reduction 2024 (EWWR). Organised from 16 to 24 November, the aim of the programme is to spotlight specific topics and encourage the development of eco-responsible initiatives.
Eat better, waste less
This year, food was the main featured theme. For the occasion, the ACM’s restaurant team, ‘Le Club’, proposed a special menu based solely around chocolate. Our customer members were able to discover plates featuring chocolate at all 3 stages of their meal: The first course is a pear and duck breast salad with chocolate vinaigrette, followed by chocolate chicken for the main course, and the famous black forest for dessert. A guaranteed mouth-watering success!
A morning of cleaning
Another initiative put in place by the ACM for the EWWR 2024 was a ‘clean-up’ walk along Monaco’s roads. Over half a day, our group of volunteers collected a total of 74 kg of rubbish over 5 km. A figure that once again highlights the need to step up our awareness campaigns and educate people to respect our environment.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: this was the main theme throughout this week of action, in which many of the Principality’s institutions and businesses were involved. For more information on the EWWR: www.ewwr.eu

The Automobile Club de Monaco would like to inform its members and guests that the Restaurant ‘le Club’ began its traditional summer break on Saturday 27 July. It will be reopening on Tuesday 3 September 2024 at noon.

For the second year in a row, the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) took part in the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) from 21 to 26 November 2023. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle : this was the key message throughout the operation, in which many of the Principality’s institutions and companies got involved, focusing especially on the theme of packaging.
As part of its commitment to the Government of Monaco and Motorsport Promoters, and on the strength of its actions throughout the year through its events (distribution of water bottles, ashtrays to the public, “upcycled” bags), the Automobile Club de Monaco was keen to highlight 3 specific operations during this major ecology week:
A round-table discussion was also held with internal staff to share best practices and find new ideas for reducing packaging.
As a reminder, last year’s collection enabled us to collect materials for our ongoing upcycling projects, and to make shopping bags that are now being distributed to journalists and volunteers during our events, and now on sale to the general public at the Official Store for €15…

He left quietly for the heaven of rally co-drivers, last Friday, as the Concentration Leg of the 25th Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique ended: Joseph Lambert, a three-time winner of the event (2007 in a Porsche, 2010 and 2012 in an Opel Kadett) was part of the history of the event, and part of the history of rallying in Belgium and especially in Luxembourg, his native country, 73 years ago. In the Principality, he also won the Alternative Energies version, before the E-Rally, alongside Bernard Darniche. To his credit, he also has the Tour de Belgique, the Costa Brava Rally, three times, the Liège-Rome-Liège, the Portugal Historico, the Andalucia Classic, the Asturia Classico, the Spa Rally, the Trophée des Alpes, the Ardennes Roads, the Asturias Rally, etc.
Joseph Lambert then became the ‘master of the roads’ for several beautiful events in which he had taken part before: the Liège-Rome-Liège, the Marathon de la Route, the Classic Spring Roads, the Göhltal Classic, the Ostbelgien Classic in which he traced the route of the 2022 edition. It was the final rally of the year counting for the FIA Trophy for Historic Regularity Rallies. His own son Patrick, co-driven by Yves Noelanders, was crowned. The loop was complete.
