On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026, the Principality of Monaco will host two rounds of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The 20 Gen3 Evo single-seaters promise speed, excitement and spectacle in what promises to be a thrilling weekend!
For the second consecutive season, the legendary Monaco Circuit will be the venue for two days of intense competition. On Saturday 16 May, the first free practice session will take place from 7:30 am, followed by free practice 2 at 9:10 am. Qualifying and all its stages (quarter-finals, semi-finals, final) will take place from 10:40 am to 11:48 am. Finally, the 10th Monaco E-Prix will get underway at 3:05 pm.
On Sunday 17 May, the day’s only free practice session will begin at 8:30 am. Qualifying will take place from 10:40 am to 11:48 am, as on the previous day. To round off this magnificent weekend, the 11th Monaco E-Prix will get underway at 3:05 pm.
A number of events will be taking place as part of this electric weekend. Firstly, Formula E is organising several conferences during the week, including one in Sophia Antipolis on Wednesday 13 May from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. On Friday 15 May, the FIA Girls on Track initiative will be taking place at the circuit.
The Fan Village, set up on Quai Antoine 1er, will be open to everyone free of charge. It will offer a wide range of activities, including a gaming area, musical entertainment, a kids’ zone, physical and sporting challenges, and several photo opportunities… Something to delight the whole family! Novelty for 2026: virtual reality experiences, a smoothie bar and the grand opening of Vrooom, which will be in the Fan Village all weekend!

In the ABB FIA Formula E Drivers’ World Championship, the top four in the standings are separated by just 18 points! Leader Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche Formula E Team) has seen his lead narrow as Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing), winner of the last E-Prix in Berlin, closes in.
Third in the championship, Edoardo Mortara (Mahindra Racing) has yet to find the path to victory this season despite three pole positions and two podium finishes. The Monaco E-Prix would be an excellent opportunity to secure his first win of the year! Oliver Rowland (Nissan Formula E Team), fourth in the championship and winner of last season’s Monaco E-Prix, is also among the favourites to win this year.
Things are more complicated for Sébastien Buemi (Envision Racing), who is only 9th in the championship. But the Swiss driver can count on his experience and his three victories in the Principality (2015, 2017, 2025) to play the troublemaker!
