Placed under the High Patronage of Their Serene Highnesses, The Prince and The Princess of Monaco , organized by the Automobile Club de Monaco , under the care of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), ASN members of the FIA and more particularly with the assistance of FFSA, the e-Rallye Monte-Carlo is registered on the FIA international events calendar.
Reserved for vehicles 100% non-polluting and CO2 -free (Electric, Fuel Cell, Hydrogen, Solar, compressed air … etc.), with 4 wheels, registered for road use, a minimum of 2 seats and 5 maximum, here is in outline what you should know of the newest event created by the ACM:
MONDAY 20 JUNE 2016:
Registration opening and issue of the supplementary regulations.
FRIDAY 9 SEPTEMBER 2016:
Registration closing (deadline for reception of complete file with payment)
MONDAY 19 SEPTEMBER 2016:
Confirmation of the selected cars
WEDNESDAY 12 OCTOBER 2016:
Administrative checking and Scrutineerings, with remittance of plates and official documents to the competitors in Parisian region. Cars in Parc Fermé.
Start of LEG 1 Refueling and route free – Check of Route and mileage by GPS system
FRIDAY 14 OCTOBER 2016:
As from 14h00 Regularity test – Rallye Asphalt Circuit located on the Pôle Mécanique d’ALES
As from 16h00 Start of LEG 2 “ALES-MONACO” (around 350 km) including 3 Regularity tests between the following itineraries:
SATURDAY 15 OCTOBER 2016:
Early evening Start of LEG 3 ‘MONACO-MONACO’ (around 110 km), ran by night around the famous Col de Turini and including 3 Regularity tests between the following itineraries:

Morning Acceleration and Braking test (subject to confirmation)
Gala Lunch and Prize Giving Ceremony
Vehicles in conformity with the French and Monegasque Road Legislation will be eligible. They will be selected according to the following categories:
A: Vehicles 100% electric
B: Hydrogen Vehicles
C: Combined Hydrogen and Electric Vehicles
D: Solar Vehicles
E: Compressed-Air Vehicles
F: Other zero emission vehicles not included in the above categories. The vehicles of this category will be admitted at the discretion of the Organizing Committee
Each team should be composed of one driver and one co-driver, each possessing a valid driving license. They are obliged to be present on-board the car during the whole event.
The fees for registration per crew are €600, it includes:
Registered on the FIA Calendar and scheduled in the Monaco Principality’s program events from October 12 to 16, 2016, the e-Monte-Carlo Rally, wanted innovative by their creators, displays a “pioneering spirit” which offers a large place to the human adventure and the future technologies.
The Rallye Monte-Carlo “ZENN”, which was previously reserved only for competitors entered with a 100% electric vehicle, will now be open to the 100% non-polluting and CO2-free vehicles (Electric, Fuel Cell (hydrogen), Solar, Compressed Air … Etc. etc.), with 4 wheels, registered for road use, for a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 5.
For this new event, the Organizing Committee of the Automobile Club de Monaco has deliberately opened a new page of the “Rallye Monte-Carlo des Energies Nouvelles”, initiated in 1995, and the former Monte-Carlo Rally ZENN (Zero Emission – No Noise). A radical change due to reply to the specific requirements from the competitors but also from the car manufacturers, governments, car fleets or city communities.
The route of this new endurance event, with a total distance of about 1000 km, will be announced shortly.
16th Rallye Monte-Carlo des Energies Nouvelles 18-22 March 2015)
To celebrate the 20 years of the creation of its event dedicated to new and renewable energies, the Organising Committee of Automobile Club de Monaco have prepared, for this special occasion, a 100% brand new route. Exceptional circumstances deserve an exceptional organisation…
First novelty, for this anniversary edition, a new city has been added to the start of the Concentration Routes. After submitting its application, Montauban was chosen and joins the side of the two other French cities Annecy le Vieux and Clermont-Ferrand, as well as Lugano (Switzerland). It is in these areas that the administrative and technical controls will take place Wednesday, March 18, 2015.
Competitors, whose entry has been selected to participate in 16th Rallye Monte-Carlo des Energies Nouvelles, will start Thursday, March 19, 2015 towards Gap. They will join the new host city the same evening, after completing their different concentration course. Distances are between 478 (Annecy-le-Vieux), 529 (Lugano), 544 (Clermont-Ferrand) and 577 kilometers (Montauban).
Sports festivities really begin Friday, March 20, 2015 between departments of Hautes-Alpes (05) and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (04) with, to start the Common Leg “Gap-Monaco “, a first regularity stage (ZR), unique, drawing in the valley of Bes : “Verdaches – Digne-les-Bains” (26.40 Km). After a regrouping park of one hour in Digne-les-Bains, competitors have to face with two other unpublished ZR : “Peyroules – Thorenc” (29.81 Km) via the Col de Bleine and “Gréolières – Vence” (32.76 Km) with a passage in the authentic and full history of Coursegoules village, before going straight to the Principality of Monaco .
The Final Leg in turn will take place Saturday, March 21, 2015, with part hinterland of Alpes-Maritimes department (06), with four regular stages to run : “Levens – Saint-Jean-la-Rivière “(9.26 Km),” Lantosque – Luceram “(20.20 Km)“, Coaraze – Sospel “(46.23 Km) and “Sospel – La Bollène-Vésubie” (30.68 Km). Note that competitors will come back twice on the Port of Monaco for a mid-day regroup (11:30) and to return to Parc Fermé, early in the evening (19:00).
The manoeuvrability test zone, drawn on the Darse Sud of Port of Monaco , will be held on demonstration, Sunday, March 22, 2015 in the morning. This exhibition will be followed by the traditional Lunch Gala and Awards Ceremony in the very classy Room of the Sea (Fairmont Hotel).
Finally, remember that a village, reserved for the “partners”, located near to the Parc Ferme in Monaco , will be open throughout the event. Various exhibits, road tests and animations will be organized, on the theme of tomorrow’s car and sustainable development…
