The ROUTE to 66…

Although the 2026 regulations initially allowed a maximum of 60 crews, the Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo Organising Committee ultimately decided to push the limits. Thanks to a meticulously planned operation and a true logistical tour de force by its teams — notably for the management of the service park in Gap Fontreyne — the Committee chose to accept 66 entries, meaning every crew that submitted an application. A decision that will delight both professional teams and amateur drivers alike, now eager to take on the legendary roads of this 94th edition, scheduled from 22 to 25 January 2026, and serving as the opening round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).

With just 13 days to go before administrative checks begin, the Organising Committee is publishing today the official list of the 66 entered crews.

World Champions lead the way – a top-class Rally1 field

Unsurprisingly, the entry list is headed by the reigning World Champions and winners of the 2025 edition, Sébastien Ogier / Vincent Landais, in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally1. Even though he will not contest the full season, the local hero from the Hautes-Alpes will naturally be among the favourites, chasing a record-breaking 11th victory on the Monaco event’s roll of honour.

With 11 Rally1 cars representing the three official manufacturers, the battle for overall victory promises to be as open as it is intense:

  • Toyota : 5 crews
  • Hyundai : 3 crews
  • M-Sport Ford : 3 crews

While the defending champions will understandably be the reference point, competition will be fierce — including within Toyota itself — with the formidable Elfyn Evans / Scott Martin also in the mix, fully capable of fighting for the win on any surface. Among the leading contenders, fans will also find Thierry Neuville / Martijn Wydaeghe, already two-time Monte-Carlo winners (2020 and 2024), as well as Adrien Fourmaux / Alexandre Coria, who impressed with 3rd place in 2025 on their first Monte-Carlo at the wheel of a Hyundai. Finally, Grégoire Munster / Louis Louka will be one to watch with M-Sport, as the Luxembourger attempts a challenge as original as it is demanding, linking the Dakar Rally and Monte-Carlo in just a few days.

Lancia’s official return

Behind the WRC field, the WRC2 category is set to be one of the major highlights of this 2026 edition, with 25 crews entered. Another key headline is the official return of Lancia, with the Ypsilon HF competing in WRC2 — a powerful symbol for rally fans and for Monte-Carlo’s rich history.

In terms of favourites, attention will naturally focus on the two crews from the Italian manufacturer’s team, Yohan Rossel / Arnaud Dunand and Nikolay Gryazin / Konstantin Aleksandrov, without forgetting Chris Ingram / Alexander Kihurani or Eric Camilli / Thibault de La Haye, all capable of fighting at the front on an event where experience and strategy are as decisive as outright speed. Léo Rossel / Guillaume Mercoiret, third in WRC2 last year, will also be one to watch.

A new generation in the spotlight

This 2026 entry list also highlights a new generation, with several sons of iconic former champions already well known to rally enthusiasts. In WRC, Oliver Solberg (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) will be on the start line, while WRC2 will also feature Pablo Sarrazin (Citroën C3 Rally2) and Eliott Delecour (Toyota GR Yaris Rally2).

Key figures for the 2026 edition

Beyond the presence of 43 FIA priority crews, the 2026 entry list features the following statistics

  • 66 entered crews
  • 11 Rally1
  • 27 Rally2 (including 25 WRC2)
  • 5 Rally3 (WRC3)
  • 23 non-priority crews
  • 22 nationalities represented
  • 9 brands on the start list
